
Phil “Jiu-Jitsu Matrix” Migliarese is a 4th degree Relson Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt with over 20 years of experience in BJJ and Mixed Martial Arts. A Gracie Worlds and National Champion, Phil is a trainer, training partner and coach to UFC and MMA fighters as well as World and Pan-Am Champions.

Phil received the nickname “Jiu-Jitsu Matrix” while warming up for the Gracie Worlds in 2000. While warming up with Ashtanga Yoga drop backs (a back bend starting from a standing position), passers-by compared him to the Matrix movie scene where Keanu Reeves character Neo was dodging bullets.
Similarly, his vast knowledge of Jiu Jitsu allows him to decipher the Matrix of BJJ information and help thousands of students worldwide.
